MATTHEW

Matthew is the Founder and Managing Director of Blackmore Four, working with leaders of ambitions businesses to achieve outstanding performance through periods of growth or significant change.

Starting his career at Ford Motor Company, Matthew has developed his expertise in Organisational Effectiveness in key senior HR, Organisational Development and Talent roles, predominantly in Financial Services (Credit Suisse, Barclays and DBS) and most recently as the Group Head of Talent and Performance at UBS AG.

Having worked in and across Asia for six years as well as having ‘global’ responsibility in a number of his roles, Matthew has an appreciation of international and multi-cultural working environments.  He also has a multi-sector perspective, having worked with organisations in Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education and Technology.

Matthew has a BA in Business and Human Resource Management and a MSc in Business Psychology. He is also a qualified and registered psychometric test administrator and user for occupational ability and personality assessments.

Matthew has been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire’s Business School in subjects including Strategic Management, Business and Commercial Awareness, Cross-Cultural Management (Module Leader), Human Resource Management, Leadership and Organisation (Module Leader) and Change Management.

In addition, Matthew was a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Collaborative Academies Trust – a Multi-Academy Trust with schools across Essex, Somerset, and Northamptonshire.

MATT

Matt is a highly motivated Business Development Manager at Blackmore Four, working with business leaders to optimise their organisational performance, with extensive customer service and sales history.

Matt has a deep understanding of financial service organisations from back-office processes through to front office.  Having previously held the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Approved Person status, as both a CF1 & CF30, he has a wide knowledge of equity, derivative and fixed income products and has managed a portfolio of £400m.

Matt has overseen and been an integral part of transformational change within financial services businesses, including the integration of new processes, adapting to a change in regulations derived from The Market in Financial Instruments Directive 2004/39/EC (known as MiFID) released in 2007 and the revamped and re-worked version MiFID II in January 2018.

Until early 2020 Matt was a Chartered Fellow of CISI (the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment), having passed the Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) exam with merit in 2012.

Matt volunteers to manage his local youth football team, is an F.A. licensed football and futsal coach with his own futsal academy.  Until his late teenage years Matt played football for Arsenal F.C and Bristol City F.C. before injury ended Matt’s full-time football career.

Matt is a keen golfer with a handicap of 6, likes running (is currently training for the London Marathon – whenever that may occur) and enjoys horse riding in his local country surroundings.

EMMA

Emma is the Business Operations Manager at Blackmore Four. She has extensive experience working in administrative and project management roles covering office management, HR and finance.

Having studied Film and Literature at Sheffield Hallam University, Emma graduated with a 2:1 BA Honours degree before pursuing a 12 year long career in publishing.  As Senior Project Editor for Pearson, Emma worked on many high-profile trade and professional publications alongside authors such as Richard Templar, James Borg and Michael Heppell.

Emma has also worked within the charity and education sectors providing HR, finance and administrative support.  She is accustomed to working in fast-paced office environments where multi-tasking is a necessity to performance.

Aside from her family, Emma’s other passion is her horse, Tabor. Having ridden horses from an early  age, Emma enjoys learning the basics of dressage and hacking out in her spare time.
